Attack and healing spells can be changed to group mode by moving the target arrow all the way to the left or right respectively. This reduces the damage to approximately 40%, but allows the spell to hit all targets.

Like Weapon proficiencies, magic proficiencies gain XP every time they are used, irrespective of the damage dealt. This makes group casting a far more efficient way of training magic proficiencies.
